Modern IT infrastructures often have a large number of weak points that an attacker can exploit. In order to To protect infrastructures, those responsible must know, evaluate and close these vulnerabilities. The Greenbone Security Manager (GSM) supports you in this task.
With the new Greenbone operating system GOS 4, the administration interface has been completely revised. This Course therefore uses GOS 4 as a basis!
This course shows how to use the Greenbone Security Manager for vulnerability management. Thereby simple ad-hoc scans, authenticated local security check scans as well as the scan of network components and ESX systems. Of course, policy scans will also be demonstrated. The Administration and integration of the system is not part of this training.
