In the server landscape, container technologies have been gaining ground in recent years. Many services that would have previously been installed on a virtual machine are now being deployed as a Docker container. On the one hand, so-called Microservices offer security advantages when deployed as self contained container and on the other hand they generate a significantly lower overhead than being deployed as separate virtual machines. Even professional appliances are increasingly being distributed as distributed as containers.
In this course you will learn how container technology works on Linux and how to use it securely.
Prerequisites: Experience in the administration of a Linux system (Course). Knowledge of programming Bash scripts is helpful, but not required.
