OPNsense is the most prominent OpenSource firewall appliance. You can use it on a hardware device, any common PC or even virtual. The advanced functions are on par with most commercial firewall products.
In this class you will learn how to configure and use the basic functions of OPNsense.
Advanced functions like an IPsec VPN, intrusion prevention and high availability are discussed in part 2.
Requirements: Experience in the administration of network services. Knowledge of the configuration of firewalls is of advantage but not required.
